Data Collection

OutLowd collects ZERO data.

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information
• Usage data or analytics
• Crash reports
• Device information
• Location data
• Photos or images
• Recognized text
• Voice settings or preferences
• Any other user data

How the App Works

OutLowd processes everything on your device:

• Image Selection: When you select a screenshot, it's loaded into the app's memory temporarily
• Text Recognition: Apple's Vision framework processes the image entirely on your device
• Text-to-Speech: Apple's AVFoundation framework converts text to speech on your device
• No Storage: Data is discarded when you close the app or select a new image

Permissions

Photo Library Access

• Purpose: To allow you to select screenshots for text recognition
• Scope: Read-only access to photos you explicitly select
• Data Usage: Selected images are processed on-device and never transmitted
• Storage: Images are not saved or stored by the app

Network Activity

OutLowd never connects to the internet.

The app:

• Does not make any network requests
• Does not connect to any servers
• Does not transmit any data
• Works completely offline

Third-Party Services

OutLowd uses ZERO third-party services.

The app:

• Does not integrate any third-party SDKs
• Does not use analytics services
• Does not use crash reporting services
• Does not use advertising networks
• Does not use cloud services

Apple Frameworks

OutLowd uses only Apple's built-in frameworks:

• Vision Framework: For on-device text recognition (OCR)
• AVFoundation: For on-device text-to-speech synthesis
• Natural Language Framework: For on-device language detection
• SwiftUI: For the user interface
• PhotosUI: For photo selection

All of these frameworks process data entirely on your device. Apple does not receive any data from these frameworks when used in OutLowd.

Data Storage

OutLowd stores ZERO data.

The only data stored locally are your UI preferences (speech rate, pitch, volume, selected voice). These preferences are stored using iOS's UserDefaults and never leave your device.

Children's Privacy

OutLowd does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.

When viewing OutLowd in the App Store, you'll see:
